What are some ways to deter or kill flies with household items / ingredients?
I live in Europe, Italy, to be exact, and the city where I live is in the area with the garbage crisis in progress (the govn't, mafia, etc..) Anyway, right next to our building is a fruit shop which tends to attract flies around our area. Since the Italians think that this "thing" against the clothes dryer, we hang our clothes to dry on balconies, which is also where flies like to hang out. The Total Gross me out. I like some tips on things I can do to prevent it hanging in our balconies, or kill them, using things that I find in the house. I prefer something that will kill them as they really are not too many in the first place. Thanks a lot!
One word … BEER Yup, really. The flies are attracted to it, but either crashes when trying to "drink" or die after drinking. Fill a small container with beer on the porch.
