modern italian mafia
the books I suggested I … (fiction of law to an Italian)?

No, I'm talking about a book about the mafia) I'm Italian. I am in search of a novel (fiction or otherwise) on law related subjects / topics (no manual, testing or similar). Grisham is fine but is too oriented criminal proceedings. This is not to be a modern book, in modern terms. Yes, I want to become familiar with the U.S. and UK law and legal terminology, but out of curiosity, not for practical purposes: as some old classics of mainstream literature as well (for example, "Bleak House") will. Thanks

I have not read, so do not know how interesting they are, but I think Anthony Trollope wrote some books involving lawyers (19th). Moreover, some of the detective series had stories about court cases.
