What does it take to join the Italian Mafia?

I’m not wanting to actually join but it would be nice to know that I’m eligible. My great grandparents were born in southern Italy and immigrated to the US. That makes me 25% Italian. My aunt did research and found that one of my ancestors was in the original mafia. Would I be able to join The Mafia? I’m just, you know, curious…
You have to be over 60 % Italian. Yea, your roots may be for Italy, but atleast one of ‘your’ parents must FULL Italian. Otherwise, you may be accepted as an associate, if accepted at all….

Your roots have to be traced all the way back to Italy, why do you want to join? If you joned you would either be sleeping with the fishes or making a living out of killing and drug stuff

To join a "family," you must start your own racket…some illegal business….and go to meet the don and give him a cut of your profits. Tell him you will continue giving him a cut of your illegal business if he accepts you as an affiliate of his organization.
Then do favors for the don.

I’ll never be able to get in, I guess.
I’m 100% Italian; both parents coming from the south of Italy, but I’d rather be a chemist than a mafiosa, that way I can prescribe creams for piles and other buttock related mishaps.
Italians are very strange people….
